If you meet a big oponent, one of the first things you really should do is take his wheels or guns out. If you lose your wheels, you are 5 times easier to hit for planes, and probaly dead (because now you are a sitting duck).Half of the strategy in this game is your movment and the way you dodge as much damage as possible.

Some of the reasons for him not hiding his wheels are probaly: He saves weight, and is harder to be hit with a plasmacannon. He is not 'Really' like forced to hide his wheels, cause he have eight of them, and will probaly keep some of them if the enemy dosen't end him.
